Introduction
The person to fill this role will work in Ottawa at the Canadian Armed Forces location at Carling Campus (on Moodie drive). They will join a team of professionals supporting the Canadian Forces health system, delivering minor and major enhancements, incident resolutions and infrastructure support.
The candidate needs to be Ottawa area based, and available to work onsite. The candidate must be eligible or already hold current Secret clearance. Education must be in Canada or the candidate must provide proof of foreign education. Candidates must meet a grid detailing required experience. The grid contains minimum required experience.
Your role and responsibilities
The Senior System Support Analyst will be responsible for managing the operations and implementation of the CFHIS solution security architectures, managing and monitoring system performance, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The candidate needs to have 10 years of experience in IM/IT, in a technical role, 18 months of continuous experience leading a team in the installation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of Citrix XenApp 6 or later, 3 years of experience in integrating 2 or more information system components using HL7 message protocols, 3 years of experience in the implementation or operation and maintenance of information system security architectures, 3 years of experience in information system trouble shooting. Experience supporting commercial off the shelf software upgrades - reviewing release notes, planning release to test environments and production, coordinating testing with the Test Lead, support after implementation.

The candidate must have the following experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IM/IT, in a technical role.
- Two years of continuous demonstrated experience on one project, leading a team in the installation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of Citrix XenApp 6 or later.
- Experienced in a new or existing Information System comprised of VMWare and LPAR, hosting Windows servers (2008 or later) and AIX servers (Version 7 or later) using VPNs and firewall. The referenced Information System must be comprised of 2 or more integrated software applications in a virtual 3 tier (User Interface, Logical Layer containing business rules and Data) or greater environment across a multiplatform ITI
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in designing, developing and/or supporting the integration of two or more information system components using one or more of the following message protocols: HL7, Web Services, Biz Talk, MQ Series or Web Sphere.
- The experience must be within the last 10 years and in blocks of six consecutive months or greater duration. They must have a minimum 3 years of continuous demonstrated experience on one project in the implementation or operation and maintenance of information system security architectures, which must include all of the following: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM); Citrix Thin-Client architecture; and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Demonstrated experience in information system trouble shooting, which must include all of the following activities: Documented Diagnosis; Documented Problem Analysis; and Documented Recommendations
- Previous experience in client-facing roles, excellent communication skills and leadership.
