Job Description
As a Security Officer - DoD Security Clearance in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic technology and media location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and engagement with employees and visitors will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the designated location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the tech and media environment.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential risks and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with onsite personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and any incidents encountered during patrols.
- Assist in the enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures relevant to the tech, media, and telecom environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance is required.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
