Required Skills & Qualifications
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, or physics
- Familiarity with electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.
- Familiarity in the defense or aerospace industry
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as required.
- Experience with EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRU's, including reviewing procedures and test reports
- Previous experience of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a Master's/PhD in electrical engineering
- Prior experience with Aerospace Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other analyses to optimize design for E3 performance
- Work to achieve Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electronics, wiring, and structure
- Interface with manufacturing and coordinate with suppliers to assure system-level compatibility
- Support project management by coordinating development of work statements, budgets, and schedules
