Overview:
Join our team supporting Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic (CNAL) and the Naval Aviation Maintenance Center of Excellence (NAMCE) at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. The Tools and Parts Attendant will provide direct support to Navy maintenance operations for MH-53E and MH-60S aircraft. This position plays a critical role in ensuring readiness for Organizational (O), Intermediate (I), and Depot (D)-Level maintenance activities across assigned squadrons.

The Tools and Parts Attendant will:
• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, shop supplies, replacement parts, and related maintenance equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of tools issued to and returned by maintenance personnel.
• Conduct routine inventories, search for misplaced tools, and requisition replacements as needed.
• Inspect, clean, and preserve tools and equipment; report damage or defects to supervisors.
• Tag, mark, or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment.
• Support aircraft maintenance shops by managing tool control, hazardous materials, and tool room configurations.
• Ensure compliance with Navy Tool Control Program and related maintenance documentation requirements.
• Contribute to the success of maintenance operations, including corrosion control, inspections, and technical directive compliance.

Required Qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and verifiable).
• Experience in tool room, parts, or maintenance support within a military or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of tool accountability, inventory management, and Navy Tool Control procedures preferred.
• Ability to lift, organize, and maintain equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Familiarity with maintenance documentation and Navy aviation maintenance environments is a plus.

Additional Information
• Wage: $21.38/hour
• Health & Welfare: $5.36/hour (may be applied to medical benefits or rolled over to 401(k) if unused)
• Worksite: Naval Station Norfolk, VA
