LMI is seeking a Cybersecurity & Privacy Policy Analyst to provide support for a government customer in the Metropolitan Washington, DC Area.

This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely. Travel to customer locations in Washington, DC area may be required on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

Candidates must have extensive knowledge of cybersecurity topics and federal mandates related to cybersecurity and privacy. Candidates must have experience creating and editing cybersecurity and privacy related policies, procedures, handbooks, and other directive documentation for federal government customers. Candidates must show attention to details and possess strong in-person, written, and verbal communication skills. Candidates will have direct experience in the skills and capabilities listed below and be able to support successful client results:
  • Remain knowledgeable on federal government guidance and requirements related to cybersecurity, privacy, and other relevant topics that have bearing on these areas (Example: Artificial Intelligence)
  • Provide research and revision support for updates to policies, procedures, handbooks, and other documents as needed.
  • Draft new policies, procedures, handbooks, or other documents as needed for key stakeholder review with compliance and verification matrices.
  • Create and update cross walk documents to validate the accuracy of customer document citations and links.
  • Create reverse cross walk documents to provide supporting validation for requirements cited in customer documents.
  • Support the development of documentation to automate standard processes in ServiceNow in support of organizational cybersecurity and privacy related activities.
  • Update customer documentation to correctly align with current key customer cybersecurity Roles and Responsibilities.
  • Support the customer's continuous feedback process utilizing Microsoft Forms and GitHub to track and manage feedback for policy, procedures, and handbooks.
  • Maintain continuous collaboration with customer key stakeholders to ensure effective incorporation of feedback and provide highest quality support.
  • Ensure all customer cybersecurity and privacy policy documentation is reviewed and updated at least yearly, as needed.
  • Provide ongoing support to the primary customer functional leads to ensure full coverage of their mission areas (cybersecurity and privacy).
  • Perform continuous monitoring for key updates to organizational structure, security, and privacy requirements to ensure the customer's policy documents maintain compliancy and responsiveness to new initiatives such as organizational restructuring.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience developing and updating cybersecurity and privacy related policies, processes, handbooks, and other directive documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • Extensive knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, and policies as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
  • Expertise in Cybersecurity Principles, with knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework and associated Special Publications.
  • A cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security + required. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Must be proactive and highly motivated to support customer needs and ensure best support possible for new documentation development and existing documentation maintenance activities in keeping with federal guidance and requirements.
  • Must have Technical Writer and some Graphics skills. Must be capable of producing technical documents and graphics to support customer needs.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation activity to successfully obtain a customer Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.
  • Must have knowledge of GitHub as a tool for management document reviews or be able to pick it up quickly.
  • DOD/NASA background and experience desirable.


Target salary range: $74,892.39 - $128,044.59
