Job Description
*** Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance ***
The General Maintenance Lead leads general maintenance technicians and performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of various systems.
• Schedule and perform routine and preventative general maintenance.
• Assign general maintenance tasks and coordinate work.
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance technicians and helpers.
• Mentors general maintenance technicians and other helpers.
• Respond to emergency calls for equipment and system breakdowns.
• Make minor carpentry, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and make modifications of premises and equipment.
• Possess strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
• Maintain and safeguard assets.
• Oversees contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Monitor building activities and enforce safety protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Maintains status in computer maintenance management system and other systems of record.
• Generates procurement requirements and tracks fulfillment of orders.
• Order and maintain parts as needed.
• Maintain a high quality of service at all times.
• Practice mission focused customer service skills.
• Communicates well and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
• Supports the team.
• Self-motivates.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required

• Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (50 pounds), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, may experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to assist other trades
• Available to work after-hours and preform snow removal.
