Job Summary:

B&A is looking for an Cloud Computing Specialist (CCS) to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing Specialist - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure initiatives within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and NIST standards, particularly SP 800-53 and SP 800-37. This role requires hands-on experience with cloud security across various deployment models and platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud computing security, C&A, and RMF.
  • Apply NIST SP 800-53 and SP 800-37 standards to assess and manage cybersecurity risks.
  • Conduct security control assessments and C&A reviews for complex information systems.
  • Implement and advocate for cloud security best practices across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
  • Support FedRAMP assessments across six domain areas: architecture, data security, platform security, application security, operations, and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity documentation and audit reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of DoD Zero Trust strategies.

Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of C&A and RMF experience in DoD environments.
  • Experience with hybrid, edge computing, and cloud-native microservices.
  • Familiarity with IoT protocols and modern networking standards.
  • Experience with FedRAMP security and privacy control assessments.
  • Hands-on experience with DoD Commercial Cloud Hosting solutions.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in cloud architecture and security across GCP, AWS, Azure, and OCI.
  • Strong understanding of DISA STIGs, IAVAs, and DoD CC SRG.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and SIEM platforms.
  • Ability to conduct threat modeling and security risk assessments.

Certifications (Required):
  • ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
  • One of the following Google Cloud certifications:
    • Google Associate Cloud Engineer
    • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • One or more of the following:
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
    • AWS Certified Security - Specialty
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional
    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Cloud Operations

Desired Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD security requirements for GCP and other cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Zero Trust principles and implementation strategies.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills for audits and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cloud security initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience with enterprise-level cloud migration and modernization projects.
