We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Curriculum Developer to design, develop, and evaluate engaging educational materials and learning experiences. The ideal candidate will combine subject-matter expertise with instructional design principles to create high-quality, learner-centered content that aligns with customer goals and learning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop curriculum frameworks, lesson plans, and instructional materials that meet educational standards and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME), instructors, and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Develop assessments, rubrics, and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness. Integrate digital learning technologies, multimedia resources, and instructional best practices to enhance learner engagement.
- Review and update existing curriculum to ensure alignment with current standards, trends, and best practices.
- Conduct needs assessments for continuous improvement to curriculum design.
- Maintain documentation and version control for curriculum projects.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree is required; bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Prior experience designing or developing curriculum, training materials, or instructional content in an academic, corporate, or government setting.
- Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy) and adult learning principles is desired.
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical or complex information into effective learning materials.
- Working knowledge of eLearning tools, learning management systems (LMS), and digital content development platforms is helpful.
- Exposure to developing blended or online learning programs that integrate multimedia and interactive elements is a plus.
- Experience aligning instructional content with organizational goals, accreditation requirements, or learning standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for clarity, consistency, and engagement in instructional materials.
- You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
- You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Your organizational skills allow you to manage competing priorities.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
