Job Overview
XPECT Solutions is looking for Information System Security Engineers (ISSE) at multiple levels (Jr./Mid./Sr.) at multiple locations. The Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating secure information systems. Working closely with architects, developers, and security teams, the ISSE ensures that security requirements are embedded throughout the system lifecycle—from initial design to deployment and maintenance. This role involves conducting threat modeling, implementing security architectures, and validating system compliance with applicable standards such as NIST, RMF, and DoD directives. The ISSE is instrumental in bridging the gap between cybersecurity policy and technical implementation.
Requirements:
- AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS A MUST with the ability to obtain an SCI
- Experience can range from 2 - 12+ years (experience requirement will vary depending on level Jr./Mid./Sr.)
- Holds one (or more) of these Certifications:
- Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP),
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP),
- Certified Secure Software Lifecycle (CSSLP)
- (CISSP Special Focus) Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)
- (CISSP Special Focus) Information System Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP)
- **Similar or Comparable Security Focused Certifications**
- Proven experience with the use and operation of security tools including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP Weblnspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications.
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in computer science, Cybersecurity, or other related discipline
