Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking DoD Secret cleared professionals with AI , software engineering, and or DevSecOps engineering skill sets to design, develop, and test software solutions for a suite of military avionics platforms. This role focuses on integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines, automating testing processes, and collaborating with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) teams to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
Location: Cambridge, MA
Key Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and execute test and verification processes for software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality
- Review and identify software requirements, test objectives, and strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
- Develop test plans, cases, and scenarios aligned with software specifications
- Configure test environments including hardware, software, and network setups to replicate production environments
- Execute test cases to verify functionality, performance, and safety; identify and report defects and vulnerabilities
- Document and maintain test plans, procedures, cases, metrics, and artifacts in compliance with security protocols
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency
- Set up and maintain Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) automation systems for system-level software and hardware tests
- Collaborate with HIL teams to integrate software with hardware testing environments
- Implement standardized processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline the software engineering lifecycle
- Enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of safety-critical software
- Provide feedback on software design and functionality to resolve issues and enhance performance
Required Skills
-DoD Secret clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree with 4 - 7+ years of experience
- Willingness to use AI tools in CI/CD development (familiarity is a plus w/ Agentic AI)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
-Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab)
-Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI)
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, PyTest)
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack)
- Familiarity with artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and frameworks such as PyTest
- Experience in avionics or safety-critical software environments
Compensation:
- $120,000 - $190,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
