Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Principal Project Management Specialist to join our growing Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit Program Management Office (PMO) team in Warner Robins, Georgia.

In this position you will take an active role in protecting the men and women that fly our nation's aircraft in harm's way by leading depot repair and engineering operations in support of the Defense Systems Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) sustainment program. The LAIRCM sustainment program has a long history of exceeding the high expectations of our global customer by using innovation, technology, and effective leadership.

You will have the opportunity to work proposal activities in support of our current 7-year program and other activities as required. In addition, you will establish program control processes to support proposal activities and tracking special category work (SCW).

Your job duties include:
  • Manage proposal efforts for LAIRCM Program & tracks Special Category Work (SCW), assist in writing Statements of Work (SOW), work with Intercompany Work Order (IWO) providers.
  • Writes Basis of Estimates (BOEs), handles proposal kickoffs for functional teams and is responsible for kickoff & signoff packages for program direct proposals.
  • Assist with Cost Account Database (CAD) budgets and schedules.
  • Work with the proposal team to develop plans and schedules. Complies cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
  • Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
  • Identifies historical data to support proposal efforts.
  • Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings for proposals for PMO.
  • Participates in pricing reviews with management.
  • Supports RFI requests from customers after submittal of proposal.
  • Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
  • Maintain Risk and Opportunity systems updates.


Basic Qualifications
  • Must have 9 years of related experience with HS diploma/GED. Will consider a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' related experience or Master's degree and minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams or projects. Demonstrated success in continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work at our Warner Robins site


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with all aspects of proposal generation.
  • Demonstrated success in performing in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth knowledge of depot or production planning
  • Experience in communication, both written and verbal, with customers and senior Management

Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
