Data Analyst

Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Data Analyst to s upp ort a Do W F ield Activity reporting to OUSW(R&E) at Ft. Belvoir. The ideal candidate has experience in Defense Business Systems , to include the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), and is highly experienced in Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and web design.

Responsibilities

• Identify trends and problems through complex big data analysis. Interpret results and draw conclusions from variety of sources using a variety of techniques, to include simple data aggregation, statistical analysis, and complex data mining.

• Gather and analyze technical information from various sources and create EXCEL/ SQL queries to retrieve specific information and parameters from database(s) .

• Drive impact and value through the development and maintenance of dashboards.

• Utilize programs such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate to analyze data, automate processes, and help the organization make informed decisions.

• Transform data sets through quantitative and qualitative analysis into insights and compelling visuals that help inform decision making and improve the value of the enterprise.

• Manipulate large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions to inform strategic business decisions.

• Plan and document meetings, to include providing reports, briefing materials and tracking actions.

• Use standard formats and guidelines to draft and prepare official documents and communications.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Strong quantitative ability and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Strong background in and experience with Defense Business Systems , to include DAI or other financial management ERPs .

• Strong background in and experience with data visualization and dashboard creation, to include experience with Qlik and Power BI.

• Experience with SharePoint content management , web design, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R.

• Experience with Power Apps.

• Demonstrated experience compiling, organizing, and cleaning large datasets for input into dashboards or business intelligence tools. Experience with data mining and statistical analysis.

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Must possess strong numerical and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated capabilities in researching, collecting, and synthesizing large and complex datasets or databases and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Self-motivated and self-monitoring, exceptional oral and written communications, and ability to multi-task.

• Highly proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor's degree and five years of demonstrable data analysis experience in the DoW .

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Location: Work is performed on-site at Ft. Belvoir .
