Work You'll Do

As a Project Delivery Specialist on the project, you will:
  • Shape and drive UX Strategy by developing and implementing long-term research and experience strategies that inform the vision and direction of API products
  • Lead and drive research initiatives by designing, executing, and synthesizing large-scale user research studies - interviews, contextual inquiries, workflow analysis - for technical audiences
  • Map technical user journeys by uncovering, visualizing, and communicating pain points and opportunities along the API development lifecycle
  • Collaborate across disciplines by partnering closely with product managers, API engineers, solution architects, system designers, and cross-functional teams to align research with business goals and technical realities
  • Mentor and support by serving as a research mentor to more junior staff, introducing research best practices tailored for technical product teams

The Project Delivery Talent Model is designed for professionals with specialized skills that align to a current client need. Team members focus on delivering services to clients, without additional expectations related to business development or promotion. Their employment is tied to their role on a project, and they are eligible for a benefits package that is competitive for project delivery-focused professionals.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of professional experience as a UX Researcher or UX Strategist, including lead responsibilities within technical/software product teams
  • 1+ year of specialized experience supporting UX research and strategy across API products
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must have an active Public Trust clearance
  • Ability to travel 0-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:
  • Experience conducting advanced user research- qualitative and quantitative - with technical audiences (API Consumers, developer experience teams, platform engineers, SREs)
  • Experience mapping and analyzing developer journeys, onboarding flows, and workflow integrations for API-based products
  • Proficiency in research planning, protocol authoring, data synthesis, and reporting for complex systems
  • Familiarity with research tools such as Qualtrics and Optimal Workshop
  • Strong understanding of WCAH 2.1 and Section 508 accessibility standards
  • Hands-on experience with API product management, SDK documentation, and/or developer evangelism/advocacy
