Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Material Support Team Member with a logistics background in Kennedy Space Center, Florida to organize, plan, and coordinate the movement of materials between various locations on and off-site.
As a material support team member your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate with on base contractors on oversized over the road transports
• Work in step with Production Operations and the Floor Operations Group to ensure movement of critical hardware are pre-coordinated
• Provide Daily Activity Reports to Stakeholders, highlighting critical activities and major occurrences.
• Enable the logistics group to fulfill the team goals through excellent communication, providing flow-down direction, while energizing and providing opportunities for training, growth, rotations, as well as mentoring the team
• Process and monitor customer demands and schedule program production orders.
• Provide direct support to space programs and manufacturing floors.
• Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanized warehouse equipment to move materials
• Provide recommendations and develop improvement strategies on existing processes
Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Shelf-life, hazardous material, and temperature-controlled material.
• Time management, delegation, and organization skills with strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to complete assignments requiring judgment and discretion.
• Proficiently skilled in MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of hazardous material shipping, including 49CFR and IATA regulations.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Class A CDL
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
