Software Engineer - GMD Weapon System
Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Target salary range: $70,000 - $90,000.00

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start; Active Top Secret Clearance Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document embedded and object-oriented C++ software.
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team.
- Implement software updates and features aligned with customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to software standards and secure coding practices.
- Contribute to full development lifecycle including requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
- Apply systems thinking to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
- Prioritize tasks independently to meet project objectives.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in C++ development for embedded systems.
- Experience with:
- Linux (RHEL preferred)
- CMake for build automation
- GTest for unit testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Degree in Software Engineering or related discipline.
- Knowledge of Missile Defense systems, particularly GMD.
- Familiarity with SysUML modeling.
- Exposure to Agile development and Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Bitbucket).
- Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant).
