Sr Software Engineer - GMD Weapon System
Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Target salary range: $120,000 - $150,000.00

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start; Active Top Secret Clearance Preferred
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document embedded and object-oriented C++ software.
- Lead development and implementation of new and updated features based on evolving customer requirements.
- Work in a cross-functional Agile Scrum team, collaborating with systems and software engineers.
- Ensure compliance with software standards and secure development practices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
- Apply systems thinking to develop scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
- Adapt to evolving priorities and independently manage workload to meet project goals.
- Engage openly with stakeholders, including internal teams and government customers.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Strong experience in:
- Experience developing embedded and object-oriented software in C++
- CMake for build automation
- GTest for unit testing
- Experience developing software in a Linux (preferably RHEL) environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Software Engineering or closely related field.
- Active Top Secret Clearance preferred
- Familiarity with Missile Defense systems, particularly GMD
- Experience with SysUML modeling tools
- Background in Agile development and use of Atlassian tool suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant)
