Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Technical & Operational Expertise:
- Work with JTAC (mounted/dismounted) vehicular and airborne datalink communication systems.
- Lead technical and operational teams.
- Develop milestones and training plans.
- Execute fielding, training, and exercises.
Acquisition & Sustainment Support:
- Support system acquisition lifecycle: requirements definition, development, integration, test, fielding, training, and sustainment.
- Conduct operational risk assessments and develop measurable, testable performance metrics.
- Analyze training impacts on doctrine, organizational structure, and procedures.
Training & Documentation:
- Support and deliver operational and maintenance training for TACP systems (CONUS/OCONUS).
- Develop training materials, handbooks, and computer-based training.
- Execute training through working groups, IPTs, site visits, and tailored instruction.
Integration & Analysis:
- Assist in developing CONOPs and employment concepts for future TACP efforts.
- Analyze complex integration challenges and recommend training-based solutions.
- Draft and review JCIDS documentation, AF Form 1067s, and technical materials.
Communication & Coordination:
- Develop and deliver briefings to Air Force and Joint forums.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operational units.
- Support material development decisions, design reviews, and test events.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications
Citizenship : Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Secret
Education/ Years of Experience:
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD.
- OR bachelor's degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD.
- OR, 30 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.
Additional Experience required:
- Certified USAF Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) with Enlisted Craftsman (7-level) equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of joint operational experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in the Government acquisition process.
- Experience with TACP integration, logistics, maintainability, human factors, safety, security, network communications, hardware/software, and testing.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in JTAC (mounted/dismounted) vehicular and airborne datalink communication systems.
- Proficient in leading technical and operational teams through system fielding, training, and exercise execution.
- Skilled in the full system acquisition lifecycle, including requirements development, integration, testing, and sustainment.
- Experienced in developing and delivering operational and maintenance training for TACP systems in both CONUS and OCONUS environments.
- Capable of drafting and reviewing technical documentation, including JCIDS materials, CONOPs, and AF Form 1067s.
Interpersonal Skills
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical and operational teams in high-stakes environments.
- Collaboration: Skilled in coordinating with diverse stakeholders across working groups, IPTs, and site visits to execute training and integration efforts.
- Communication: Experienced in delivering clear, impactful briefings to Air Force and Joint audiences, ensuring alignment across organizations.
- Instructional Support: Adept at tailoring instruction and training delivery to meet the needs of varied audiences, both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong interpersonal approach to analyzing complex integration challenges and collaboratively identifying effective, training-based solutions.
