Information Systems Security Engineer – Level 3
Description:
The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall provide services for securing, maintaining, operating, and supporting project’s IT systems by providing continuous assurance with full awareness of security, regulatory, and corporate policies, compliance, and implementation of technology in support of security controls.
• The ISSE shall keep up to date information on project’s security posture and provide status updates and briefings to management.
• The ISSE shall define system security requirements, develop security Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and security baselines.
• The ISSE shall conduct information security and cybersecurity assessment testing and reporting, identify deficiencies and document plans of action and milestones.
Minimum Education
• Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas, from an accredited university/college:
• Computer Science,
• Computer Engineering,
• Software Engineering,
• Electrical Engineering,
• Computer and Information Security,
• Computer Security, and/or
• Network Administration;
• Or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related scientific/technical field.
Minimal Experience
• The ISSE shall have five (5) years of experience in INFOSEC, and assessing, categorizing, classifying and evaluating Cybersecurity risks and threats.
• The ISSE shall have five years of experience using common INFOSEC and Cybersecurity tools such as Tenable Nessus and Security Center, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
• Preferred Experience
• COMPTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional or associate.
• Additional education, training, certifications, or work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree or work experience at the government’s discretion.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $135,000 - $140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
