Systems Engineer – Level 4
Description:
The Systems Engineer (SE) shall provide technical leadership in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and virtualized infrastructure systems.
• The Senior Systems Engineer shall design and engineer virtual infrastructure leveraging various Hypervisors, and VDI technologies to include Hyper-V, XenServer, ESXi, and VMWare.
• The SE shall design, build, maintain, and support a variety of workstation and server images to include both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• The SE shall design, build, maintain, and support automated system patching and software development.
• The SE shall develop detailed network design diagrams and documentation.
Minimum Education
• Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas, from an accredited university/college:
• Computer Science,
• Computer Engineering,
• Software Engineering,
• Electrical Engineering,
• Computer and Information Security,
• Computer Security, and/or
• Network Administration;
Or
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related scientific/technical field.
Minimal Experience
The CE shall have eight (8) years of experience in designing and engineering virtual infrastructure; building and supporting desktop systems using Windows operating systems; and designing workstation and server infrastructures for high latency, low bandwidth networks using satellite or cellular broadband technologies.
Preferred Experience
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or equivalent level of certification is desired.
Additional education, training, certifications, or work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree or work experience at the government’s discretion.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $145,000 - $165,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
