DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to facilitate and guide our software development teams in delivering top-tier solutions. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with a proven ability to manage multiple software development teams and projects simultaneously. This role requires a proactive individual who can establish and champion best practices to optimize team efficiency, effectively manage timelines, and ensure the successful delivery of engineering deliverables. As a Scrum Master within our organization, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment aligned with our commitment to excellence.


Day-to-day responsibilities and duties include:

Serve as a dedicated Scrum Master for multiple software development teams, guiding them in the effective application of Scrum principles and practices.

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and focused on achieving team goals.

Effectively manage timelines across multiple projects, proactively identifying and mitigating potential roadblocks and dependencies.

Work closely with the team to ensure clear and well-defined product backlogs and facilitate effective backlog refinement sessions.

Create and establish best practices and frameworks to identify and resolve team inefficiencies, continuously improving team performance and delivery capabilities.

Foster a self-organizing and cross-functional team environment, empowering team members to take ownership and responsibility.

Identify and remove impediments that hinder the progress of the development teams, escalating issues as necessary.

Coach and mentor development team members on Scrum principles, practices, and values.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within and across teams, as well as with stakeholders.

Ensure transparency and visibility of team progress and impediments through the use of information radiators, project tracking protocols, solution evaluation, and other appropriate tools.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the teams.

Support the team in stakeholder management and expectation setting.

Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of our agile practices within the organization.

Manage and track engineering deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered according to agreed-upon timelines.



REQUIREMENTS:

must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.

have at least 5 years of Scrum Master experience and have a good understanding of professional business environments.

be very friendly and able to calmly handle clients and staff

be able to carry themselves in a professional manner

be punctual, responsible, and reliable

have good written and verbal communication skills (answering the phone and composing emails in a professional manner)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in determining compensation offers including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the salary begins at $120,000/yr.

Schedule:

The schedule for this position is project driven and can be highly variable depending on project deadlines and the specific needs of the software development teams, typically Monday to Friday.
