Role Overview:
The Senior Web Developer, will serve as a technical expert across multiple project assignments, providing high-level development, design, and technical guidance for modernizing secure, scalable web applications. This role is responsible for the overall technical integrity and advanced programming activities related to large-scale applications. The Senior Developer will lead complex developmenttasks, ensure adherence to security and interoperability mandates, and drive the implementation of Agile practices. This position is primarily remote with travel as requested. It requires availability during EST business hours. US Citizenship is required with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
- Plan and lead major technology assignments related to software development and modernization.
- Provide technical direction to IT support staff and development teams, potentially supervising others.
- Oversee and participate in the overall design, testing, upgrade, and integration of new or existing application components, particularly interfaces and APIs.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments, operating with considerable latitude in developing methodologies and presenting solutions to complex programming problems.
- Lead efforts related to program design, coding, testing, debugging, and comprehensive documentation.
- Architect, build, and maintain interfaces and APIs that ensure interoperability and secure data exchange across distributed and hybrid environments.
- Write and peer review complex, modular, containerized code supporting microservices and cloud deployment.
- Define and implement secure coding practices in alignment with DoD RMF (Risk Management Framework) and Zero Trust principles.
- Ensure application design and implementation complies with accreditation and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
- Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree and/or equivalency
- Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#). Expertise with relational databases (PostgreSQL or SQL).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Active Public Trust security clearance.
- Expertise in software architecture using modern frameworks and methodologies (Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD).
- Strong knowledge of cloud-hosted solutions (AWS, Azure, or DoD CloudOne).
