Role Overview:

The Graphic Designer will apply creative and technical skills to support the organization's visual communication needs and documentation standards. This role focuses on supporting the overall quality and presentation of organizational and technical materials, coordinating efforts related to documentation repositories, and performing varied and complex tasks related to document support. This position is primarily remote with travel as requested. It requires availability during EST business hours. US Citizenship is required with a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
  • Provides general administrative-type support to technical and management-level personnel.
  • Assists in the layout work for technical materials.
  • Provides support for curating and life cycle management of documentation in various repositories.
  • Works closely with authors or technical writers/editors to ensure repository publication processes are followed.
  • Maintains physical and electronic libraries records and files.
  • Maintains email distribution lists and monitors resource and shared email mailboxes.
  • Leverages and implements documentation standards, such as those from the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Information Processing (FIP), Government Printing Office (GPO), or commercial documentation standards, as appropriate to the assignment.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency.
  • Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, administrator and vendor stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze requirements to produce a realistic level of effort
  • Ability to design effective software architectures for large development projects
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Background check with the ability to obtain a Public Trust

Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
  • Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with standards for documentation formats and editing workflows.
  • Experience with complex day-to-day administrative tasks.


In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
