Advantech GS Enterprises is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support the DISA NEXUS program at Fort Meade. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments to enhance DISA’s enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive professional with strong technical expertise in cloud architecture, automation, and secure system integration within a DoD environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services across Azure and AWS platforms.
Implement automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to support efficient cloud operations.
Manage virtual networks, compute, and storage resources to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Collaborate with system and security teams to ensure compliance with DoD cloud security standards and FedRAMP requirements.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and configuration management.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud environment issues, ensuring system reliability and resilience.
Support migration of applications and data from on-premises systems to cloud environments.
Document architectures, processes, and configurations in alignment with DISA and DoD guidelines.
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration
Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS infrastructure and services
Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture
Familiarity with DoD Cloud Computing SRG and related compliance frameworks
