Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Programs 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Autonomous Systems Program Office, supporting the Triton Advanced Development organization.
This leadership role will be based at our Rancho Bernardo, CA office. The position will also require travel as required by the program.
This position will report to the Advanced Development Director overseeing technical and financials for development efforts, competitive proposals, and system demonstration efforts. This leadership role will have the responsibility of managing the cost, schedule and performance of internally funded and contracted efforts. This role will require coordination with domestic and international customers as well as multiple government agencies.

Primary Level Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Provide strategic vision for advanced development initiatives, driving overall program growth
- Lead teams in execution of the advanced development efforts by providing clear assignments and direction, maintaining close communication, and getting the team the support needed to succeed
- Prepare and deliver program and capability overviews for external customer engagements
- Management of program cost, schedule, performance of internally funded initiatives
- Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
- Responsible for ensuring program and procedural requirements are met in a timely and profitable manner, and within client satisfaction goals and objectives
- Provide leadership, management, guidance and oversight for matrixed personnel
- Maintain excellent communication skills while flowing information both up and out to leadership and down and into the program
- Resolves issues in accordance with business objectives, strategies, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below
- Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
- Experience leading programs or leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT)
- Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled in continuous evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance level
- Willing and able to travel domestic and internationally
- 5 years' experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical roadmaps through program lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments, while maintaining consistently high customer relations, service and engagement
- Mission Engineering Experience
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with proven ability to develop and maintain strong internal/external customer relationships
- The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance
- The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts
- Experience coordinating military system demonstrations
