LC Cost Estimator

Job Description:

• The LC Cost Estimator (COST001) will help provide engineering technical and management support in studying, analyzing, and evaluating engineering problems, and developing solutions.
• Support will include assisting in the development of contract documentation and the development of technical plans, specifications, cost estimates relating to the various categories of engineering support services, studies provided, and associated reports.
• This position will be part of a contract team to assist in the preparation of a wide range of engineering and feasibility studies, providing engineering and technical support for design review, performance feasibility studies, and designs of ships, boat, and shipboard systems in support of existing and future vessel acquisition programs.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Develop, prepare and analyze detailed construction schedules and cost estimates for new, repair, and alterations-level designs. Prepare estimates for new federal shipbuilding construction.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience conducting cost estimating supporting ship design, construction, or repair projects. Previous experience naval shipbuilding and/or repair projects preferred.

Degree Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• A secret security clearance
