Role: Solution Engineer/Architect (Kubernetes and Kafka)
Duration-Long-Term Contract
Location: 100% Remote … May require some initial travel to DC Metro area for initial introductions and discussion.
Clearance: Active Secret or TS
Job Description:
A hands-on architect / solution engineer capable of delivering enterprise solutions with experiences in infrastructure & Software, leadership, project management, & solution development. An out-of-the-box thinker, leader, & hands-on advisor capable of delivering solutions at scale & advising C-level executives on optimizing Confluent Kafka pipelines.
Knowledge in zookeeper, brokers, KRAFT, schema registry, KSQL (a plus), Connect, REST (a plus), Flink (a plus), and Confluent Control Center (a plus), using containers such as Docker / Kubernetes. Experience with event modeling, microservice principles data mesh, attribute / message level access controls, data pipelines that enable technology specific integrations, data retention policies (e.g. compaction). Able to demonstrate creation of topics, schemas, KSQL queries (a plus), connect file and DB integrations, and use of the Confluent Control Center.
