Responsible for facilitating trauma education and training to enhance DoD medical personnel's skills. Manages CME program, engages with JTS teams for case study evaluations based on DoDTR data. Ensures compliance with CME regulatory mandates, conducts post-activity assessments, and maintains accurate CME records. Analyzes CPG PI measures to improve Clinical Practice Guidelines, integrates data analytics into educational sessions, and collaborates with trauma teams for injury data collection and quality improvement. Oversees adherence to Federal and DoD trauma system standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Performance Improvement Nurse Educator: $80k- $100k

Pay commensurate with experience.

Performance Improvement Nurse Educator Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitate the delivery, optimization, and standardization of trauma education and training to support JTS objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive educational programs to enhance DoD medical personnel's trauma care skills.
  • Generate standard monthly reports on educational and training activities provided.
  • Manage and coordinate the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program in alignment with JTS conference activities.
  • Engage with JTS teams to facilitate case study evaluations based on DoDTR data analysis to provide CMEs.
  • Ensure compliance with CME regulatory mandates and accreditation criteria.
  • Conduct post-activity assessments to measure improvements through case studies.
  • Maintain accurate records of CME credits and program specifics.
  • Prepare documentation and support audits or accreditation evaluations.
  • Analyze and assess new or revised Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) PI measures to link educational objectives to measurable improvements.
  • Integrate performance dashboards and data analytics into case study sessions to drive quality improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with garrison MTFs and mobile/deployed trauma teams to gather accurate injury data.
  • Develop trauma medical peer and case evaluation documentation to ensure feedback loop closure and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and DoD regulations and directives governing trauma system operations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Performance Improvement Nurse Educator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Four (4) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Education bachelor's degree.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma education and training methodologies.
  • Expertise in Continuing Medical Education (CME) program management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement for medical training.
  • Ability to assess and link educational efforts to Clinical Practice Guideline improvements.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation processes.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate case studies and educational programs.
  • Proficiency in using performance dashboards and data analytics for training assessments.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical personnel and trauma teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and preparing for audits.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving guidelines and incorporate best practices in trauma education.
  • Familiarity with Federal and DoD regulations governing trauma system operations.
  • Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing.
  • Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
