Position Responsibilities:
The In-Service Engineer shall liaise between NAVSEA PEOs, NSWCPD, Fleet Type Commanders, Planning Yards, and other Naval Field Activities for coordination, definition of project scope, project tasks, develop project plans, plan/schedule project timelines, impact analysis, configuration management analysis, structural integrity, impact analysis for shipboard systems, and other ship-specific information pertinent to the installation of systems on surface ships. Shall conduct review of Departure from Specifications (DFS), Engineering Change Proposals, Ship Change Documents), the Navy Data Environment and Entitled Process, and research and compose Class Advisory messages for surface ships.

Position Requirements:
- Secret Clearance
- 25 years of experience in the Navy or supporting the Navy; 15 years of experience in maintenance and modernization of Navy surface ships.
- 5 years of experience working with a Program Office at NAVSEA.
- Experience with the Navy Modernization Process; experience in preparation and staffing of Ship Change Documents, Class Advisories, Departures from Specification, and Integrated Class Maintenance Plans.
- Hull, Mechanical and Electrical experience.
