Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Computing Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and modern cloud solutions supporting Public Health data modernization initiatives. This role involves architecting and optimizing cloud-based platforms to enable effective data sharing, analytics, and decision-making across Public Health networks.
Our client specializes in strategic consulting, program management, and data-driven analytics for federal public health agencies. We deliver agile solutions that modernize health systems, strengthen communities, and promote well-being through impactful programs.
Location: Fully Remote
Direct hire position
Compensation: $130-140k
Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud architectures for Public Health data modernization.
Architect and deploy enterprise applications and services in AWS and hybrid environments.
Align cloud strategies with mission priorities and technical standards in collaboration with data modernization teams.
Lead engineering teams through cloud migrations, environment builds, and modernization initiatives.
Develop and enforce best practices for security, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure performance.
Guide development of applications using .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL across cloud and on-premise systems.
Build and optimize IaaS and PaaS environments ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Research and recommend emerging cloud technologies to improve scalability and resilience.
Mentor team members in architecture design, automation, and cloud operations best practices.
Experience Requirements:
Desired Skills:
Experience in cloud cost optimization and governance frameworks.
Familiarity with data modernization efforts, and federal IT environments.
Security Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or able to obtain a Public Trust (Tier 5) clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
