As part of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program team at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), this role supports multiple iterations of testing for IT work and infrastructure changes. The QA Tester ensures all changes are properly validated prior to deployment through structured testing and coordination with development and functional teams.

QA Testing
- Perform post-development testing on code, data, content, and configuration changes in the ServiceNow QA environment.
- Test requested changes, incidents, problems, and infrastructure updates on a per-change basis.
- Document results, report defects, and coordinate fixes with developers and product owners.
Functional Testing
- Facilitate functional testing once a deliverable or package is complete, executed by representatives from the impacted functional areas.
- Conduct testing in the segregated TEST environment, ensuring timelines and results are clearly communicated.
Post-Production Validation
- Support validation of infrastructure or major system changes to confirm production stability.
- Perform testing after hours when necessary to minimize operational impact.
- Document results and report issues via incidents.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and technical refinements.
- Develop and manage test plans; coordinate activities across functional testers, developers, and product owners.
- Execute tests for stories, incidents, and infrastructure changes; record results and close change review tasks.
- Log and manage defects throughout the testing cycle.
- Conduct basic testing and analysis of new or existing systems, software, or hardware to ensure readiness and compliance with specifications.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical or business field.
- Experience in software or system testing in an enterprise IT environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of how business functions intertwine to drive process improvement, documentation, and cross-functional coordination within QA environments.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA processes
- Experience with ServiceNow platform
- Must be in current commuting distance of Stennis Space Center.
- Will be required to report on-site, when necessary, to support contract obligations such as special projects, surge support, meetings, and other designated activities.
- U.S. Citizenship required. Must undergo background investigation for a position of NASA Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting NSSC (NASA Shared Services Center)
- Background supporting business systems (Finance/Accounting, Procurement, etc) and delivering products to Service Owners within an Agile/Scrum framework.
