Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager (Level K) to support out F/A - 18 SLM team in Berkeley, MO.

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is an exciting opportunity to manage, develop, and motivated a high performing team of employees on the F/A - 18 Service Life Modification (SLM) Program.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years' experience in a leadership role leading multi-disciplinary teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
  • 3+ years' experience working with or supporting military aircraft
  • 5+ years' experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with F/A-18 maintenance operations
  • F/A - 18 Retrofit experience or fleet support
  • Experience managing with collective bargaining agreement and/or a union-represented workforce
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

Summary pay range: $104,550 - $141,450 USD
