Come join Lockheed's Advanced Strategic Programs. This group of diverse Engineers has a long history of supporting the Air Force Mission reaching back to the 1960's. Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Minuteman Weapon System by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. This critical mission area must be done right, pass meticulous certifications and last for many years to come. If this challenge is for you, you belong in Strategic Reentry Programs.
As a Systems Engineer for the Sentinel program you will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for one of our country's most vital and sophisticated strategic systems. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing program Test Plans and supporting development of Test Procedures in collaboration with Operations and Test Technicians
• Coordinating identification and design of required test equipment
• Participating in reviews of design drawings/schematics, specifications, and other program documentation
• Developing and maintaining the Technical Orders (TO) handbooks/manuals for ICBM hardware and support equipment
• Training field technicians on proper use and maintenance of all Lockheed Martin delivered equipment
• Interfacing directly with the end-user to understand customer needs
• Developing positive working customer relationships and supporting customer meetings
• Working closely with the customer counterpart to field systems
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Systems Engineering work products, processes and product lifecycle
• Previous experience as a technician, maintainer, or depot support engineer for DoD
strategic systems
• Experience with hardware maintenance and delivery
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition life cycle, especially deployment and sustainment phases
• Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and protocols
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with USAF ICBM hardware and support equipment
• Field and/or depot support experience with Minuteman systems
• Experience in a test and requirements verification environment
• Experience in Test Operations including the test planning and development process, and electrical ground test equipment
• Customer facing / end user interfacing experience
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to track, monitor, and achieve progress on multiple projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering area from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team
• Understanding of Systems Thinking skills and behaviors
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Active DoD Top Secret level clearance or above with investigation within the last 5 years

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
