Description:Position Summary
The Air Vehicle Sustainment Contract team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and support proposal development, sustainment engineering activities, and overall program execution. This role will serve as the Modifications Lead, interface with the Joint Program Office (JPO), and coordinate inputs from the program‑manager and IPT communities. Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the AVSC PM effort is also required. Mandatory proposal experience, familiarity with Lockheed Martin's EPP process, and a solid foundation in program‑management fundamentals are required.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will lead proposal development by serving as the primary point of contact for the AVSC team, integrating technical, cost, and schedule inputs from program managers, engineering, and support groups, and maintaining BOEs that align with cost‑to‑price targets and risk assessments. As the Modification Lead, the individual will coordinate with the JPO and internal stakeholders to align requirements, deliverables, and milestones, pulling together program‑manager input and producing integrated program baseline packages. Supplemental program‑manager support for engineering work on the AVSC contract will include schedule tracking, risk/issue management, and deliverable reviews, applying WBS, OBS, and Control Account structures to maintain accurate program data. The role also requires close collaboration with the broader proposal group (capture, pricing, contracts, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging and compliance with LM policies, as well as liaison with commercial sales teams to capture market insights where applicable. Continuous improvement of processes within the EPP framework and the proposal development lifecycle is expected.
