Overview:
INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information Assurance (IA) Analyst to support the 557th Weather Wing (WW) at Offutt Air Force Base. The IA Analyst will provide expert-level cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support, ensuring all Wing-level and local cyber policies, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and RMF documentation remain current and compliant with Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) directives.
This role requires a proactive professional capable of integrating policy, technical, and compliance requirements to strengthen the Wing’s cybersecurity posture across traditional and cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise and assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Wing and local cybersecurity policies and procedures in alignment with DoD and USAF directives.
• Tailor existing policies to incorporate new or updated cybersecurity guidance within 30 days of publication.
• Develop enterprise framework policies governing Wing and local IT operations.
• Create, review, and maintain RMF artifacts and supporting documentation across all RMF steps.
• Ensure accurate updates and traceability in eMASS throughout the system accreditation lifecycle.
• Support transition of Wing cybersecurity programs to cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring secure configurations and compliance with DoD cloud standards.
• Contribute to Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) integrating risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and threat hunting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), AFI Series 33, and other Air Force cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to ensure accreditation and policy efforts align with mission objectives.
Clearance Requirements:
• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred and will be taken into account to reduce years of experience and/or certification requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Air Force Information Assurance, cybersecurity policy, RMF implementation, or system accreditation.
• Demonstrated experience with:
◦ AFI Series 33 and Air Force cybersecurity governance.
◦ Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and process execution.
◦ eMASS accreditation workflows.
◦ DISA STIGs, system hardening, and vulnerability management.
◦ Supporting cloud migration and cybersecurity integration efforts.
• Certifications (aligned with DoD 8140 / 8570 baselines): GMON, Security+, SecurityX, CASP+, SSCP, CySA+, GSEC, CASP+, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, Cloud+, Forescout, CCISO, CAP (CGRC), CISSO, FITSP-M, GCSA, GSEC, SSCP.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization in managing documentation, taskings, and reporting.
• Prior U.S. Air Force or other Military Service experience is a plus.
