SAP Functional S/4HANA Finance Consultant

Work You'll Do

• Analyze and map client business requirements to SAP S/4HANA functional specifications, especially focusing on FI (Finance), CO (Controlling), FM (Funds Management), and GM (Grants Management) modules.
• Configure and optimize core public sector financial processes in SAP S/4HANA FI, CO, FM, and GM.
• Design and implement integration solutions between SAP S/4HANA Finance modules and related systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, PPS), ensuring compliance with public sector standards.
• Document financial processes, configuration settings, and integration points for solution clarity and continuity.
• Participate in full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, handling activities from requirements gathering and blueprinting to configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Lead system integration and data migration efforts focused on financial data, supporting a smooth transition to S/4HANA.
• Conduct system testing (SIT/UAT) and provide ongoing user support for SAP financial solutions.
• Stay up-to-date on SAP S/4HANA Finance features, best practices, and regulatory trends to maximize client ROI.
• Recommend financial process enhancements and optimizations for compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
• Ability to travel 0-80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• 2+ years of SAP functional configuration experience, with a focus on S/4HANA Finance modules
• 2+ years of experience configuring FI, CO, FM, GM, or related public sector finance modules
• 2+ years leading SAP implementation projects (configuration, testing, deployment)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,800 to $148,000.
