About The Role
Responsibilities:
Peraton requires a Configuration Management Specialist to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order. This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC.
Configuration Management Specialist
Under the supervision of the Release Manager, the Configuration Manager (CM) must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge in establishing and maintaining the consistency of information regarding the design requirements, functional and physical attributes, and operational information of enterprise configuration items (CIs). The CM Must possess excellent interpersonal, business management, and customer service skills. The CM follows an IT service-based approach to manage, monitor, and update CM data in the CM Database (CMDB) and the CM Document Library (CMDL), including a logical service model of enterprise devices and their relationships by identifying, controlling, maintaining, and verifying installed hardware, software, and documentation. The CM verifies configuration records for accuracy and adherence to guidelines and defined service standards and corrects any exceptions as directed by the Government.

Required Qualifications:
• 2 years with BS/BA; 4 years with AS/AA; and 6 years with High School.
• DoD TS w/SCI or above clearance is required
• At least one year of experience as a Configuration Manager
• Power BI, Remedy, or ServiceNow experience preferred

Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain CMDB/CMDL and logical service models.
- Interface with Asset, Change, Incident, and Problem Management.
- Track build documents, baselines, and enforce authorization controls.
- Deliver CM reports, contribute to SOPs/security docs.
- Refine CM Plan within 90 days of role assignment.
- Enhances audit readiness and regulatory compliance (SOX/FISMA/DoD).
- Improves change control and minimizes misconfiguration risk.
- Supports incident traceability and faster resolution.
- Provides full asset lifecycle visibility.
- Aids in performance justification and reporting accuracy.
- Updating service/configuration item build documentation no less than every 60 calendar days, or as directed by the Government.
- Entering, uploading, and maintaining configuration data into the CMDB of record
- Creating, maintaining, and updating CIs
- Maintaining CM records for directed configuration
- Recommending additional attributes for service/standard drift
- Creating and maintaining configuration items
- Establishing and maintaining process interfaces to Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Asset Management processes.
- Recommending and execute appropriate authorization controls for modifying configuration
- Recommending and execute procedures for verifying the accuracy of configuration items, adherence to the CM process, and identifying process deficiencies.
- Providing CM Reports that are in compliance with USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
- Documenting and reviewing CM findings and then coordinating corrective action
- Monitoring standards compliance, as well as change and release implementation
- Evaluating baseline deviations and making recommendations for rectifying them
- Establishing and implementing CM compliance standards
- Reviewing and implementing CM plans, baselines, and milestones
- Developing and implementing overarching CM procedures and establishing responsibilities, authorities, and plan approval levels
- Coordinating the release of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and EngineeringChange Notifications (ECNs)
- Tracking Supplier Requests for Engineering Approval (SREAs), Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs), End of Life (EOL), CM Data Warehousing (DW), and Requests for Variation (RFVs) by configuration
- Conducting Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Review Board (CRB) meetings
- Providing reports to senior leadership through data visualization (Power BI, Remedy, Excel)
