As a Principal Datacenter Deputy Manager, you'll manage datacenter systems and oversee personnel teams providing application middleware support, including configuration, integration, and performance tuning for enterprise applications. You'll lead COOP/DR services, developing and executing recovery plans, failover testing, and business continuity strategies to minimize downtime and ensure rapid restoration during disruptions.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in datacenter operations, with at least 5 years in a management or deputy management role overseeing middleware, COOP/DR, servers, networks, storage, databases, and web services
- Proven track record managing technical teams and complex IT systems in government or high-stakes enterprise environments
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
- Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service operations and continuity
- Proficiency in datacenter technologies (e.g., VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp storage) and management tools (e.g., DCIM platforms)
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills for team management and stakeholder engagement
- Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines, with the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

- ITIL 4 Foundation certification
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Data Center Operations certification
- Experience supporting DoD or large federal datacenters, including COOP/DR implementations and hybrid cloud integrations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification
- Background in database administration (e.g., DBA certifications) and web services security (e.g., OWASP)
