Program Summary
This mission is reimagining how the Intelligence Community designs, builds, and integrates its most advanced systems. The team is engineering the future of geospatial intelligence through automation, secure cloud innovation, and real-time data fusion. Systems Engineers on this program architect and deliver the backbone of mission operations-merging AI, analytics, and resilient infrastructure to provide decision advantage at mission speed. This is an environment where cutting-edge technology meets real-world impact, and where innovation directly shapes the national security landscape.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical authority for systems engineering and architecture across enterprise-scale programs.
- Lead the design, development, and integration of complex, cloud-based systems supporting geospatial intelligence missions.
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, requirements baselines, and system performance metrics.
- Conduct technical assessments, trade studies, and design reviews to ensure solutions meet mission and security objectives.
- Oversee Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation and ensure consistency across program documentation.
- Collaborate with software, network, and data engineering teams to ensure full system interoperability and scalability.
- Engage directly with senior government and contractor leadership to advise on technical direction, risk, and capability evolution.
- Drive technical innovation through automation, emerging technology evaluation, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Mentor and guide systems engineering teams to promote best practices and knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 15+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 12+ years.
- Proven experience leading systems engineering teams supporting enterprise or Intelligence Community programs.
- Deep expertise in systems architecture, integration, and performance optimization.
- Extensive experience with secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or C2S).
- Strong background in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools such as Cameo or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps methodologies.
- Knowledge of NIST, DoDAF, and IC compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship required with an active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP or ESEP).
- AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification.
- Experience implementing automation, AI/ML, or advanced analytics in mission environments.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles and modern security frameworks.
- Experience interfacing directly with government engineering and acquisition stakeholders.
Compensation
Target Salary Range: $160,000 - $195,000
