Description
SAIC is currently seeking a Wargame Analyst located on Ford Island in Oahu, Hawaii to support the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) to provide subject matter expertise and analytical support to the design, development, execution, and analysis of internal USINDOPACOM wargames and wargame-informed events.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Lead comprehensive analysis planning and execution for wargames, table-top-exercises, and other similar events, working as part of a team.
• Analysis Planning: Develop and refine Data Collection and Analysis Plans (DCAP) that link player activities to game objectives and research questions.
• Research Development: Formulate research questions derived from game objectives and conduct literature reviews related to game problems, purposes, and objectives.
• Data Collection Design: Create and implement systematic data collection processes including survey questionnaires, interview protocols, move sheet formats, and plenary discussion frameworks to examine defined analytic objectives.
• Team Leadership: Lead and train Data Collection and Analysis Teams, including in-cell data collectors and postgame data analysts.
• Post-Event Analysis: Produce comprehensive game reports and executive briefings, delivering findings and implications to sponsors within established timelines.
• Collaborate with Wargame Designers, sponsors, planners, and SMEs to align game design and analysis objectives with operational requirements.
• Organize, categorize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, themes, and actionable insights for sponsors.
• Develop in-game and post-game outputs and reports.
• Assists with set-up and provides other products for event support.
• Document lessons learned, archive game data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of wargaming methodologies and scholarship.
• Build event plans and products and works well with others to accomplish wargaming objectives.
• Leads efforts and is a positive influence within the J76 and event support environment.
• Travel throughout Indo-Pacific in support of event execution.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's and two (2)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Experience in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive data collection and analysis plans for complex analytical projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Proven ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Experience with analytical software tools and data management systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of military operations; preferably in the Indo-Pacfic.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
• Must have a current Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Must be a current US Citizen.
