In this position, you will provide mission operations support to a Northrop Grumman Space Satellite program. You will work with systems engineers to develop operational documentation for use during long term operation of satellites. You will create and update executable scripts and associated procedures. You will conduct testing using simulators and resolve discrepancies. Interface with program and customer personnel.
This position acts as Flight Controller and Mission Planner during long term spacecraft operations. You will develop an understanding of spacecraft systems and space vehicle operations while monitoring vehicle state of health across all subsystems and performing short and long-term telemetry trending. You will track space vehicle configuration, to include both hardware, software, and configurable item parameters. You will make modifications to existing operations procedures to incorporate lessons learned from in-flight performance and develop new procedures as required. You will verify spacecraft commands before they are sent to the vehicle.
As a Spacecraft Flight Controller / Mission Planner, you must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays a required to support mission needs. Travel is possible up to 10% of the time.

- Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's from an accredited institution
- Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a NAC-I clearance (public trust equivalent, U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
