Position Summary:
Advancia Aeronautics is hiring a Senior IT Management Analyst in support of the Department of the Interior, Human Resource Directorate in Lakewood, Colorado. This Management Analyst would assist with full life-cycle Information Technology (IT) support services to support a variety of Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Human Resources Systems Management Division (HRMSD) software applications and services.
Position contingent upon award of contract, government acceptance of candidate, and positive adjudication of government investigation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyzes organizational needs to align software development efforts with strategic goals
• Identifies inefficiencies in software development processes and recommend optimizations
• Uses data to evaluate project performance, team productivity, and system effectiveness, providing actionable insights
• Collaborates with stakeholders to define software requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Assists project manager by tracking milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring deliverables meet deadlines
• Serves as a team Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer (RTE)
• Documents workflows, technical processes, and project methodologies to support development efforts
• Assists in creating and implementing policies related to software development, such as agile practices or compliance standards
• Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) & Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), or Rally to support team productivity and transparency
• Works with software developers, quality assurance, product managers, and leadership to align objectives
• Mediates disagreements and ensure teams remain focused on shared goals
• Ensures software development processes adhere to relevant standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, CMMI)
• Recommends and support agile methodologies, helping teams transition to or optimize frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
• Advocates for continuous improvement in development practices and team workflows
• Helps teams adapt to process changes or new tools during software development cycles
Education & Experience Requirements
• Must be a U.S Citizen
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT
• 10+ years of IT Management experience
• Certification Requirement: Scaled Agile Framework Scrum Master
