Savvee Inc. is seeking dedicated, reliable, and highly analytical Watch Officers to support our Federal Protective Services (FPS) client onsite in Alexandria, VA. These roles are essential to ensuring security and monitoring operations during each shift. We are currently hiring for full-time positions to support the following critical coverage windows:
• Monday through Friday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Weekends: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining the security and operational effectiveness of our nation’s Homeland Security efforts. We’re looking for individuals who excel in producing error-free, accurate reports and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Monitoring and assessing DHS-related events, incidents, and threats using multiple data sources to ensure timely and accurate awareness across shifts.
• Drafting, editing, and distributing incident reports, daily summaries, and intelligence briefs with precision and clarity, tailored for senior leadership and operational teams.
• Maintaining and updating incident databases, ensuring all entries are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timeframes.
• Analyzing incoming data to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights then communicating these findings effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
• Creating and integrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) imagery into reports and briefings to enhance situational understanding.
• Actively engaging in daily Operations Calls, contributing updates, insights, and recommendations to support mission continuity.
• Requesting and retrieving relevant data from Federal Protective Service (FPS) and DHS systems, ensuring compliance with protocols and data handling standards.
• Accessing and navigating platforms such as WebRMS, LEIMS, EIS, HSDN, HSIN, and MIST to gather and verify operational data.
• Providing consistent coverage during assigned shifts, particularly nights, weekends, and holidays, with a commitment to reliability and responsiveness.
• Using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, to support reporting, analysis, and collaboration.
• Adhering to internal policies and procedures to ensure all deliverables meet quality, security, and compliance standards.
• Upholding a high level of customer service and professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Three or more years of experience in operation centers, emergency management, dispatch, or as a first responder (law enforcement/fire/rescue)
• Holds an Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain a DHS Suitability
• Experience working in a 24x7x365 shift environment with flexibility to work across all shifts
• Exceptional customer service, with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism
• Sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with extensive daily use of Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and delivering high-level briefings and updates to senior stakeholders
• Commitment to quality, responsiveness, and continuous improvement in operational workflows
• Self-motivated and confident
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently holds or has held a DHS Suitability
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
• Experience with briefing executives
