Amentum is seeking a Site Manager to work at MCBH Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

The Site Manager is responsible for the overall control, direction, and performance of all organizational-level maintenance activities supporting MV-22B aircraft. This position provides leadership and oversight across maintenance, administrative, logistics, quality assurance, financial, and safety operations to ensure all contractual requirements are met or exceeded while achieving operational excellence and exceeding budget performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day management and leadership of all site personnel supporting MV-22B aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Ensure the effective execution of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in compliance with applicable directives, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Oversee site administrative functions, including personnel management, training, reporting, and documentation requirements.
  • Responsible for the hiring, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Initiate and process personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all personnel maintain required training, certifications, and recertifications to meet program and regulatory standards.
  • Devote personal attention to the morale and welfare of all employees and is responsible for providing a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Review and approve employee timesheets in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage logistics functions to ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for mission success.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Identify, study, and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements as applicable.
  • Oversee financial performance, including cost controls, budget tracking, and identifying efficiency improvements to exceed financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations applicable to facilities and job assignments.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all work centers, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to lockout/tagout procedures, and reporting of all incidents or near-misses.
  • Coordinate and conduct site safety meetings, inspections, and corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Act as the primary interface with Program Manager, other Amentum Divisions, Government Representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities related to quality performance and compliance.

Physical Demands:

The duties of this position range from working in an office-like environment requiring extensive sitting to performing tasks in a flightline environment requiring climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking for extended periods. The employee may occasionally be required to lift objects exceeding 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

Work conditions vary from an office setting with minimal physical activity to a flightline environment exposed to inclement weather, severe temperature changes, wind, and rain. The employee may be required to work in areas with high noise levels and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, electrical hazards, and other environmental risks associated with aircraft maintenance operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including 3 years in leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of MV-22B systems, maintenance processes, and applicable technical publications.
  • Proven ability to manage contract performance, budgets, personnel, and safety compliance in a high-tempo operational environment.
  • Must possess analytical abilities necessary to handle extremely complex administrative, organizational, and aircraft maintenance matters to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations.
  • Must demonstrate communicative, managerial, and organizational skills necessary to effectively manager site operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information and exercise discretionary judgment.
  • Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel, and Word programs.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as good decision-making skills.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior military or contractor experience supporting DoD aviation maintenance programs.
  • Experience with NAVAIR, or similar government oversight.
  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $98,000 to $115,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
