The Project Engineer on the Aerospace Hardware Team will lead and manage the planning, execution, and oversight of projects focused on the design, integration, and testing of advanced electromechanical systems for flight test experiments. This role involves creating detailed project plans, tracking progress, and reporting status, risks, and achievements to stakeholders. The Project Engineer will coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful project delivery within schedule and budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of engineering experience and a proven track record of developing solutions and collaborating across engineering teams to deliver high performing and reliable systems.

The annual pay range for the Electrical Engineer position is $125,000 to $190,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Responsibilities:
- Lead system engineering efforts through requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and validation
 - Develop and maintain system architecture, interface specifications, and technical documentation
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, test, and operations) to ensure system functionality and performance
 - Support risk management, trade studies, and system performance evaluations
 - Provide technical input on proposals, project plans, and schedules
 - Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and organizational processes
 - Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for system-level issues
 
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
 - 5+ years of experience in engineering, integration, and testing
 - Strong understanding of engineering development processes (requirements development, review life cycle, verification & validation)
 - Familiarity with testing standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD, and ISO standards)
 - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
 - Previous experience with DOD programs and unmanned aircraft systems is highly desirable
 - Must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working with multiple teams to resolve technical problems
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
 - Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required
