Senior Software Engineer: Autonomy & Mission Platforms
Design and build the real-time, scalable software infrastructure that unifies sensors, autonomous systems, and AI for critical national security and defense missions. Own complex backend systems from concept to front-line deployment.
The Mission: Code That Matters. Fast.
We deliver mission-critical infrastructure, creating robust, resilient platforms used by operators in the most challenging environments. We are building the next generation of connected defense capability platform that unifies diverse government and commercial systems across all domains for mission autonomy and base defense.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be building the high-performance backend platform and self-service integration tools that are essential for unified command-and-control. This isn't just about shipping code; it's about deep systems thinking, solving complex distributed problems, and seeing your work directly support real-world military missions.
Role Scope & Tech Focus
You will play a key role in delivering real-time, reliable, and secure software solutions across hybrid environments (cloud, edge, on-prem). Your work will span:
Microservices and APIs: Designing and scaling microservice architectures and building robust REST, gRPC, and GraphQL APIs.
Data Pipelining: Architecting high-throughput data pipelines and real-time processing systems.
Systems Integration: Developing platform tooling to unify field systems and enable autonomy at the edge.
Must-Haves
7+ years of engineering experience in fast-paced, production environments.
5+ years focused on backend development using Go, Java, Python, or TypeScript. (Go preferred).
Proven experience building and scaling microservice architectures and platform tooling.
Strong background in distributed systems, real-time processing, and data pipeline engineering.
Expertise with relational and object storage (e.g., PostgreSQL, S3/MinIO).
Strong grasp of authentication/authorization models and security best practices.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
Bias toward action and an ownership mentality you own the problem from start to delivery.
Bonus Points
Active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
Experience with cloud-native, provider-agnostic software architecture (AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Exposure to low-latency video processing (FMV) or complex geospatial tools.
Experience developing software under regulated frameworks (e.g., DOD RMF, FedRAMP).
Background integrating with ML/AI models or military platforms (e.g., TAK).
If you want to move fast, have maximum ownership, and build technology with immediate, high-stakes impact, join us.
