MBA Consulting Services, Inc. (MBA CSi) is seeking a Financial Support Specialist to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Facilities Repair & Alterations (R&A) program. In this role, you will serve as the financial coordination and support specialist for facility repair and alteration projects-providing financial management, documentation control, and budget tracking to ensure compliance with USPS financial policies. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with project managers, finance staff, and contracting officials to keep high-impact facility projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Project Managers and stakeholders to prepare, submit, and track funding requests for R&A projects.
- Develop, review, and maintain financial documents, including funding authorizations, cost estimates, purchase requests, and amendments.
- Track workflow of funding packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely approvals.
- Monitor project funding balances, commitments, and expenditures in alignment with approved budgets and USPS policies.
- Provide financial status reports, reconciliations, and analyses to Project Managers and Facilities leadership.
- Resolve discrepancies in project accounting records through coordination with Finance and Contracting teams.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records and documentation.
- Support development of funding plans, forecasts, and schedules to align with project execution.
- Serve as liaison between Project Managers, Finance, and Contracting to ensure smooth coordination of financial actions.
- Identify and recommend process improvements in financial tracking, reporting, and document workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3 years minimum of relevant experience in financial support, budget management, or program administration.
- Strong knowledge of financial management and budget processes.
- Experience with financial data analysis, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.
- Proficiency with financial management systems, spreadsheets, and office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance
- Must pass a pre-employment background check (clearance investigation) and drug screening.
- Experience supporting financial processes in government, facilities, or large-scale operational environments.
- Knowledge of USPS financial systems and procedures or comparable federal financial processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and process improvement skills in financial tracking and reporting.
