NETWORK ENGINEER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of NETCOM. You will play a crucial role in providing engineering solutions and support to improve network performance, defense, and security for the Department of Defense Information Network-Army (DoDIN-A) Enterprise.
• Lead/Manage/Support the design and development of critical voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks to ensure robust availability and security for the mission
• Collaborate with operational organizations and cross-functional teams to implement Request for Changes (RFCs) and maintain Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) compliance
• Drive network enhancements and innovative technical solutions by applying the engineering design process to solve complex performance and security challenges
• Utilize industry-leading technologies to monitor network integrity, configure essential network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and ensure NetOps capability integration
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience
• Technical skills: Experience with network configuration (routers, switches, firewalls), VPN Concentrators, Microsoft enterprise products, and NetOps tools.
• Security clearance level: Secret
• Role requirements: Security+ and CCNA required
