MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in Fayetteville, NC.
In this role, you will contribute to a mission-focused team that will support military operators and mission partners by driving the secure development and deployment of mission-critical systems by integrating security into every phase of the software development lifecycle. In this role, you will contribute to a mission-focused team that will support military operators and mission partners by driving the secure development and deployment of mission-critical systems by integrating security into every phase of the software development lifecycle. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with deep experience in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation who is passionate about building resilient and secure systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining DevSecOps pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of secure software applications.
- Collaborating with developers, system administrators, and cybersecurity professionals to ensure secure and compliant software delivery practices.
- Integrating security tools and best practices into CI/CD pipelines, including static and dynamic code analysis, container scanning, and compliance validation.
- Managing cloud infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Supporting containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- As part of a matrixed team, leading the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and AI model deployment.
- Architecting robust, scalable, and secure automation solutions for complex development and MLOps environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 9+ years of experience in DevOps, system engineering, or software development roles with 4+ years in a security-focused DevSecOps position
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Proficiency with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- In-depth knowledge of secure coding principles and familiarity with industry security standards (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with automated security tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or Snyk
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant certifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience implementing zero-trust architectures
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
