Senior Configuration Manager

In this role, you'll bring deep knowledge of DoD documentation standards, sound judgment, and the ability to take initiative in dynamic situations. Your expertise will directly support the accuracy, accountability, and integrity of critical technical data.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain documentation for technical reviews, audits, and configuration control boards.
- Apply deep understanding of DoD documentation and software generation requirements.
- Interpret and adapt a variety of guidelines, including precedents and informal practices, in non-routine situations.
- Work independently on recurring tasks, using sound judgment to determine next steps.
- Track and maintain accurate records of performance metrics for assigned projects or tasks.
- Create and manage databases and files containing project performance indicators.
- Contribute to the creation, rollout, and execution of configuration management (CM) processes.
- Maintain and control essential technical documents such as:
- Aircraft technical data packages (TDPs)
- Electrical and mechanical drawings
- Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Review aircraft project documentation to ensure alignment with CM standards.
- Incorporate data from aircraft project sites into comprehensive Technical Data Packages.
- Collaborate across teams and organizational levels with strong verbal and written communication skills.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline (or a qualifying substitution).
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including:
- At least 3 years directly supporting Department of Defense (DoD) work.
- Expertise in configuration management processes and DoD compliance.
- Proven ability to work independently and navigate complex, non-standardized environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation control.
- Active Secret Security Clearance
