Safety - QA Specialist

We're hiring a Safety / QA Specialist to help lead the implementation and oversight of safety and environmental health programs in complex operational environments. In this role, you'll ensure regulatory compliance, support contractor quality assurance efforts, and promote a culture of safety across aviation and industrial operations.

What You'll Do

• Support and enforce safety programs in line with:
• NAVAIRINST 3710.1 (Contractor's Flight and Ground Operations)
• DFARS 252.228-7001
• Coordinate safety procedures across multiple domains, including:
• Aviation material readiness
• Radiation, chemical, and biological safety
• Hangar safety and physical protection
• Fall protection, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance
• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) inspections and evaluations for contractor programs.
• Help implement and maintain departmental safety policies and documentation.
• Communicate safety findings, procedures, and requirements effectively to diverse teams.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of safety-related experience, including:
• 1+ year working directly in Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and aviation safety protocols.
• Proven experience supporting QA processes and contractor compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active Secret clearance.
